It’s sad…when people you know become people you knew. Fuck it, I guess. That’s the circle of life. & we MUST learn to move on.

I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. I think you should tell everybody you love them every single day!

Happy Chocolate Day !! #happychocolateday
Haha I love people so much sometimes. Apparantly a wonderful individual had the brilliant idea to celebrate the worlds favorite sugary treat by giving it its own holiday and trending it on #Twitter. Personally there are about 10,000 different kinds of chocolate that I am enamoured with but to round out my top three I would have to go with 3. Bryer’s Triple Chocolate Ice Cream 2. Mars Bars, and 1. Cadbury Creme Egg’s !!
Chocolate has been around for hundreds of years in many different forms. The ancient Myans harvested the cacao bean and worshipped it as an idol and the Aztecs used it as an early form of money. Huh ! Christopher Columbus was in fact the first person to introduce the intoxicating substance to Europe, having discovered in on one of his journey’s to South America. However it was not until the 1760’s that the Baker’s Chocolate Company was established and added milk and sugar to the cocoa solids for sweetness, thus branding the first “Baker’s Chocolates”. The 1800’s saw the rise of the most popular brands like Cadbury and Nestle, and in the early 1900’s Mr. Milton Hershey gave the world it’s first “Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss”.
But chocolate is not just for the sweet tooth. Many Nutritionists have vouched for the health benefits on our bodies including lower blood pressure, stimulating the brain, and improving the circulatory system. Cacao can even be used to increase appetite, relieve fever, and treat burns. No wonder it is considered one of the worlds superfoods !
All this talk of chocolate has me starving. I wonder if they still make the “Treatzza Pizza” at Dairy Queen? Mmmmm, chocolate pizza. So pull your family close and enjoy the season, maybe write a holiday tune and send it to me! I’d love to listen to it while I consume an endless supply of chocolate milkshakes today. :-)
